Another lovely selection of gifts exchanged between members last Christmas

Sue Johnson - Gloves and Mittens - 24th October 2010

Sue Johnson came to run a 2 day workshop sharing her experience of making mittens and gloves. Its safe to say that we all left exhausted having learnt a lot about new ways of making fine felt to techniques for mittens and gloves. It was a real challenge.

These photo's show a finished pair of clovesand something of the size of the pattern and part of the process.

An enormous thank you

must go to Joke who took on the job of assembling all the felted 'medieval' tiles made earlier in the year. September was its maiden outing. It looked splendid hanging in the doorway to guide participants into the new venue at St James Middle School, Bury St Edmunds.

It has been a great team effort so thanks to you too!

Workshop with Marietta Alker 4 & 5th September 2010

at last some photos from our workshop with Marietta (I did intend to up load a slide show of all the photo's but I haven't been able to work out how to do it). The was popular from the outset and booked up so fast that, as many of you already know, we arranged a repeat workshop the following day. Feedback was good and participants enjoyed themselves experimenting with techniques for creating a variety of textures on 3D vessels.
